AWARDS AND SUPPORT
S-3 has external funding and been honored by several awards and grants for its work.
S-3 was initially funded by the “Start a SUD Startup Award” from the USA National Institutes of Health - National Institute on Drug Abuse to detect illicit opioid sales online.
It was also one of six finalists of the 2017 USA Dept. of Health and Human Services Code-A-Thon Award for its advanced technology.
S-3 also received support for development through an Accelerating Innovations to Market Grant from the Institute of the Global Entrepreneur, Jacobs School of Engineering, University of California, San Diego.
Currently, S-3 is supported by a competitive USA Small Business Innovation Research Grant to pursue its work in illicit online opioid sales as well as apply its technology to additional illicit markets. This includes wildlife, cultural artifacts, controlled substances, and other contraband.
We thank all our previous and current supporters for assisting us in keeping the Internet safe for its legitimate users.
